How much revenue does Caliente Interactive generate? The most useful published figures come from Playtech, its minority shareholder and technology partner. But they do not form one uninterrupted set of annual accounts. Playtech disclosed figures for the Mexican operating business Caliplay through March 2025, followed by figures for its new parent, Caliente Interactive, from April 2025. The latest half-year information reviewed here covers the six months to 30 June 2026.
Caliplay reported revenue of €798.6 million for 2024 on the later accounting presentation. Caliente Interactive reported €652.2 million for the nine months from April to December 2025 and €532.6 million for the first six months of 2026. The reporting entity, period, source and accounting adjustments matter as much as the headline amounts. Treating these figures as a straightforward year-on-year growth series would mislead readers.
How to Read Caliente's Financial Disclosures
The first distinction is corporate. Tecnología en Entretenimiento Caliplay, S.A.P.I. de C.V. is the Mexican online gambling operator commonly called Caliplay. Caliente Interactive, Inc. is the United States-incorporated parent established within the restructured ownership arrangements. The Caliente Interactive company overview explains those relationships in more detail.
Playtech's annual and interim reports contain selected financial information about its investments. That is different from a separately listed Caliente Interactive company publishing a complete investor pack of its own. Playtech applies accounting-policy adjustments when using investee information under IAS 28, including adjustments affecting how certain customer bonuses, VAT and progressive gaming contributions appear in revenue.
| Entity | Reporting period | Relevant evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Caliplay | Full years 2023 and 2024 | Historical operator disclosures in Playtech's annual results |
| Caliplay | 1 January - 31 March 2025 | Pre-restructuring operating period |
| Caliente Interactive | 1 April - 31 December 2025 | Nine-month parent-group information, initially drawn from draft accounts |
| Caliente Interactive | 1 January - 30 June 2026 | Unaudited six-month parent-group information |
All monetary amounts in the financial tables below are in millions of euros (€m). Revenue and profit refer to an accounting period; assets, liabilities and equity describe a position at a particular date. These distinctions prevent two different types of information being mistaken for comparable annual sales.
Caliplay Revenue and Profit: 2023, 2024 and Early 2025
Playtech's historical reporting provides three useful reference points for the Mexican operator. The 2023 figures came from Caliplay's audited financial statements. The later presentation of 2024 appears in Playtech's 2025 financial results, based on Caliplay's audited 2024 information with adjustments to align the relevant accounting policies. The first quarter of 2025 is a separate three-month period, before the revised arrangements took effect.
| Period | Revenue | Profit from continuing operations | Source basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Year ended 31 December 2023 | 759.4 | 58.8 | Playtech FY2024; 2023 audited Caliplay accounts |
| Year ended 31 December 2024 | 798.6 | 36.6 | Playtech FY2025 presentation; aligned accounting policies |
| Three months ended 31 March 2025 | 194.6 | 5.0 | Playtech FY2025; pre-restructuring period |
Why the 2024 Revenue Appears as Both €863.7 Million and €798.6 Million
Readers checking an older report will find a seemingly contradictory figure. Playtech's March 2025 full-year release showed €863.7 million of Caliplay revenue for 2024, with €36.3 million profit from continuing operations. That revenue was extracted from draft 2024 financial statements. Playtech's later FY2025 release presented €798.6 million revenue and €36.6 million profit for the same year, using audited underlying information aligned to Playtech's accounting policies.
Playtech specifies that bonuses awarded to players, VAT and progressive contributions should be treated as deductions from revenue under the group's policies rather than as operating expenses. It also states that these alignment adjustments do not affect net profit from continuing operations. Because the later disclosure also uses updated underlying statements, readers should not assume that every difference between the two profit figures follows solely from those revenue reclassifications.
The 2023 figure comes from the older series; 2024 follows the later adjusted presentation. Without a fully reconciled same-basis series, a precise like-for-like growth rate would be misleading.
The early-2025 quarter is not an annual run rate. Multiplying it by four would manufacture a forecast. For the underlying economics, see the Caliente business model.
Caliente Interactive Results for April to December 2025
The reporting change occurred when the revised Playtech arrangements took effect on 31 March 2025. The financial information that Playtech subsequently disclosed for Caliente Interactive covers 1 April to 31 December 2025. It is a nine-month period, not a complete calendar year and not the nine months ending in September.
For those nine months, the new parent group recorded €652.2 million of revenue and €170.4 million of profit from continuing operations in the information presented by Playtech. The same note showed other comprehensive expense, net of tax, of €8.2 million, giving total comprehensive income of €162.2 million. Total comprehensive income is not another name for operating revenue.
The FY2025 release expressly said these results were extracted from Caliente Interactive's draft consolidated financial statements, with further IAS 28 accounting-policy alignment. The subsequent 2026 interim report referred to an audited Caliente Interactive statement of financial position at 31 December 2025; that later status should not be retroactively treated as confirmation that every line of the original nine-month profit-and-loss extract was independently audited in the form reproduced by Playtech.
The Playtech agreement history explains the March 2025 transaction. For present purposes, its importance is straightforward: the investor relationship and reporting entity changed. Adding Caliplay's €194.6 million first-quarter revenue to Caliente Interactive's nine-month €652.2 million and calling the sum a reported full-year group result would cross that change in reporting perimeter. We therefore do not publish such a figure.
First Half of 2026: What the €532.6 Million Measures
The latest Caliente Interactive income statement figures identified in Playtech's published financial results, reviewed on 4 November 2026, are for the six months ended 30 June 2026. The parent-group information shows revenue of €532.6 million and profit from continuing operations of €98.3 million. The interim report describes the underlying six-month information as unaudited, adjusted where necessary to align accounting policies with Playtech's own reporting.
At first glance, the comparative figures seem to suggest unusually rapid growth: €246.1 million revenue and €65.8 million profit in 2025. But the heading above that comparison is crucial. Those 2025 figures cover only three months, April to June, whereas the 2026 figures cover January to June. The column headings use different start dates because the parent-group reporting began after the March 2025 transaction.
| Measure | Jan - Jun 2026 (six months) | Apr - Jun 2025 (three months) |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue | 532.6 | 246.1 |
| Profit from continuing operations | 98.3 | 65.8 |
| Source status | Unaudited interim information | Unaudited comparative information |
Do not read this table as a six-month year-on-year growth comparison. Dividing €532.6 million by €246.1 million would compare six months with three, producing a mathematically correct ratio of incomparable periods. It would not measure genuine year-on-year revenue growth.
A proper growth calculation needs equal periods, consistent policies and the same entity. This comparison does not meet those conditions, nor does interim profit establish full-year cash generation.
Assets, Liabilities and Equity at 30 June 2026
The interim report also offers a snapshot of Caliente Interactive's financial position. Unlike revenue and profit, these balances are measured on one date, 30 June 2026. They help readers understand the scale of reported resources and obligations, but do not represent a stock-market valuation.
| Balance-sheet item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Current assets | 147.9 |
| Non-current assets | 50.7 |
| Current liabilities | (186.8) |
| Non-current liabilities | - |
| Equity | 11.8 |
Parentheses denote liabilities deducted in calculating net assets. The €50.7 million of non-current assets is a broad accounting category. It should not be described entirely as property or equipment. Playtech also notes that the investee's non-current assets in this presentation exclude fair-value adjustments for certain identifiable intangible assets recognised through Playtech's purchase-price allocation.
Reported current liabilities exceed reported current assets at this date. That invites questions about working capital, settlement dates and liquidity, but the limited table cannot establish that the company is insolvent or unable to pay its obligations. Equity of €11.8 million is the residual amount in the presented investee information, not the purchase price a buyer would pay for the whole business.
The comparison needs another important safeguard: Caliplay's earlier equity position at 31 March 2025 was reported as negative €30.5 million in Playtech's later FY2025 disclosure. That was a different legal entity and reporting date. Combining its equity with Caliente Interactive's later balance sheet would not produce a meaningful consolidated trend.
Playtech's Investment Is Not Caliente's Revenue
Playtech acquired an actual 30.8% equity interest in Caliente Interactive under the revised transaction completed in March 2025. It accounts for the interest as an associate because it has significant influence without control. That gives Playtech a share of the associate's results under the equity method, not the right to add 100% of Caliente Interactive's revenue to Playtech's own sales.
For 2025, Playtech reported an adjusted share of income from Caliente Interactive of €54.5 million following completion of the revised agreement. Its reported share of profit after the relevant adjustments was €28.7 million. The difference comprises a €1.8 million one-off adjustment and €24.0 million of amortisation of acquired intangible assets, net of deferred tax. These accounting measures are not interchangeable.
Playtech separately disclosed €45.7 million of dividend distributions relating to the nine months under the new arrangements, of which €43.4 million had been received in cash. Neither investment-income measure nor the dividends represent additional Caliente Interactive gambling revenue.
There is another category still: the revised strategic agreement provides for $140 million of fixed payments to Playtech over four years. These are contractual arrangements involving a technology and services supplier; they are neither Caliente Interactive's published gambling revenue nor an announced dividend programme for all shareholders. The currency is US dollars, unlike the euro-denominated financial tables in this article.
| Measure | What it describes | What it is not |
|---|---|---|
| Caliente Interactive revenue | Sales in investee financial information for a stated period | Playtech's B2B turnover |
| Share of associate income | Playtech's accounting recognition from an equity interest | Cash automatically paid to Playtech |
| Dividend distribution | Value distributed by the investee to shareholders | A separate measure of operator revenue |
| Fixed contractual payment | Payment obligation under a commercial agreement | Caliente's published annual profit or group market value |
Playtech's investment fair value is not an observable market capitalisation for a private company. For pricing questions, see Caliente shares and valuation; for control, see the ownership structure.
What These Financial Figures Can and Cannot Tell Us
The disclosed revenue indicates a substantial digital gambling operation. The post-restructuring and 2026 interim figures give investors more insight into the group than contract announcements alone.
What is missing is just as significant. We do not have a seamless like-for-like historical series for the same reporting entity covering 2023 through the first half of 2026. Nor do the abbreviated notes provide all the segment, cash-flow, financing and tax information that would be needed for a complete independent valuation. They are disclosures made in the context of Playtech's investor reporting.
Our view favours precisely labelled figures over synthetic growth charts. Tax and contractual developments could change future results; see Caliente's risks and opportunities.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Was Caliplay's Revenue in 2024?
Playtech's later FY2025 disclosure presents €798.6 million after accounting-policy alignment. Its earlier FY2024 announcement had presented €863.7 million from draft accounts. These are different published accounting presentations for the same year, not two years of trading.
What Were Caliente Interactive's 2025 Results?
Playtech reported €652.2 million revenue and €170.4 million profit from continuing operations for 1 April to 31 December 2025. That covers nine months of the new parent-group reporting perimeter, not the full calendar year.
Did Revenue Grow Year on Year in the First Half of 2026?
The published comparative is not sufficient to calculate a sound six-month year-on-year rate. The €532.6 million figure covers January - June 2026; the €246.1 million comparison covers only April - June 2025.
Are These Caliente Interactive's Independently Audited Annual Accounts?
Not as a single complete public series. Playtech's disclosures draw on different underlying statements. Its FY2025 report initially described the nine-month profit-and-loss information as extracted from draft consolidated accounts, while the H1 2026 performance information is explicitly unaudited. Underlying audited balance-sheet information is identified separately where applicable.
Does Playtech's Investment Value Represent Caliente's Market Capitalisation?
No. The value attributed to Playtech's minority associate interest is not an observable public share price for Caliente Interactive and should not be confused with the operating group's revenue.
The Bottom Line
Caliplay and Caliente Interactive have meaningful financial figures in the public record, but those figures need careful labels. The former's historical results, the new parent's nine-month 2025 accounts and the unaudited first half of 2026 describe different periods and, in part, different reporting perimeters. Playtech's disclosures give us an unusually useful view into a privately held gambling business; they do not justify inventing a full-year total or a like-for-like growth rate. The most trustworthy conclusion is the one that respects those boundaries.
