Caliente's Mexican and Peruvian gambling operations must be assessed through different legal records. In Mexico, an archived federal listing connects caliente.mx with online operator Tecnología en Entretenimiento Caliplay, S.A.P.I. de C.V. and permit holder Impulsora Géminis, S.A. de C.V.; that archive is not proof of today's licence status. Peru has two separate MINCETUR registrations for caliente.pe under Deportes Digitales Cali S.A.C., but the current status of the sports-betting authorisation is disputed in publicly reproduced listings and requires a fresh regulator check. A UK, US or Brazilian permission cannot be inferred from these records.
This guide traces each available chain from country and domain to operating legal entity, authorisation holder, permitted product and regulator. It distinguishes what is currently recorded, what survives only in an archive and what remains unverified. For group structure rather than permissions, begin with our Caliente Interactive overview.
Caliente's Market and Licensing Footprint
Caliente Interactive, Inc. is the US-incorporated holding company described in Playtech's investment disclosures. It should not automatically be treated as the licensed gambling operator in every market. Caliente.mx and Caliente.pe are market-facing domains; Caliplay and Deportes Digitales Cali S.A.C. are named legal entities in separate regulatory evidence. Corporación Caliente is a wider business group, not a substitute name for any particular authorisation holder.
“Caliente is licensed” can confuse corporate existence, commercial activity and a regulator's authorisation of a specific gambling product. Only the last establishes that permission, and it needs a jurisdiction and date.
Mexico is supported by a historical government website listing and permit-holder table. Peru has two regulator registration records, but conflicting published reproductions prevent us from certifying the present sports-betting status. References to the United Kingdom, United States and Brazil remain evidence gaps, not proof of permission. Latin American presence does not create cross-border authorisation.
Regulator and Operator Matrix
The table deliberately separates the operator delivering the gambling service from a distinct permit holder where the source identifies one. “Not established” means the reviewed evidence does not verify a current licence chain; it does not mean a regulator has formally refused one.
| Jurisdiction | Brand / domain | Operating legal entity | Permit holder | Product | Regulator | Number / resolution | Grant date | Observed status / evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mexico | caliente.mx | Tecnología en Entretenimiento Caliplay, S.A.P.I. de C.V. | Impulsora Géminis, S.A. de C.V. | Online gambling website as listed | SEGOB / federal gaming records | Holder-table entry 8599; website separately cites DGG/SP/404/97 | Not reconciled from the reviewed documents | June 2026 archive: website row 45, marked “Operando”; current validity not independently certified |
| Peru | caliente.pe | Deportes Digitales Cali S.A.C. | Same entity | Remote sports betting | MINCETUR | 21002589010000; RD 3332-2024 | 21 June 2024 | Current status unresolved: third-party lists disagree between VIGENTE and Suspensión Temporal; authoritative live-card confirmation pending as at 4 November 2026 |
| Peru | caliente.pe | Deportes Digitales Cali S.A.C. | Same entity | Remote gaming | MINCETUR | 11002589010000; RD 3394-2024 | 24 June 2024 | VIGENTE in reviewed listings; no contrary status found, but independent live-card recheck pending as at 4 November 2026 |
| United Kingdom | No verified UK gambling domain in this evidence set | Not established | Not established | UK-facing remote gambling | UK Gambling Commission | Not confirmed | - | No current B2C operator-domain chain verified in reviewed evidence |
| United States | No verified state-licensed consumer domain in this evidence set | Not established | Not established | State-specific betting / gaming | Relevant state regulator | Not confirmed | - | Company incorporation or historical applications are insufficient |
| Brazil | No authorised betting domain established in this evidence set | Not established | Not established | Fixed-odds betting | SPA / Ministério da Fazenda | Not confirmed | - | Company registration alone is not betting authorisation |
Reading the dates: June 2024 identifies the Peruvian resolutions, not the consumer launch. A historical VIGENTE observation cannot settle a later conflicting status report. The Mexican “Operando” label belongs to a June 2026 archive.
Mexico: Caliente.mx, Caliplay and Impulsora Géminis
The Mexican evidence is a joined reading of two government-published tables rather than one all-purpose certificate. In the archived file identified as VF_Web_autorizadas_jun2026, website row 45 lists www.caliente.mx, the online operator Tecnología en Entretenimiento Caliplay, S.A.P.I. de C.V. and the permit holder Impulsora Géminis, S.A. de C.V.. The website is labelled Operando in that snapshot.
A separate federal authorisations table identifies Impulsora Géminis in holder row 13 and shows the number 8599. The domain table does not print 8599 immediately beside caliente.mx. The connection follows the holder's matching legal name across two published tables. This is useful evidence of the recorded operator - holder arrangement, but it does not independently prove that a particular permission is still valid today, that a contract has not changed, or that every product offered under the brand is covered identically.
There is a further number worth preserving rather than quietly reconciling: the Caliente website has also described a permit as DGG/SP/404/97. The reviewed sources do not include the original administrative instruments necessary to prove whether that reference and 8599 describe the same grant, different classifications, amendments or successive records. It would be incorrect to declare them interchangeable, but also incorrect to infer unauthorised operation merely because their formats differ.
One additional row of the archived website table associates winner.mx with the same named operator and permit holder. That is an archival regulatory association, not proof of shared user accounts, a present-day consumer offering or a particular ownership relationship. The related corporate names and brand boundaries are explained in our Caliente brands and subsidiaries analysis.
The practical conclusion is narrow and meaningful: the published June 2026 archive identifies Caliplay's operator role and Impulsora Géminis's holder role for caliente.mx. A fully current Mexican licence opinion would additionally require the underlying grant, amendments and an up-to-date confirmation from the responsible authority. An archival Operando label is not a substitute for that further check.
Peru: Caliente.pe and Two MINCETUR Authorisations
Peru presents a product-specific registration chain. Deportes Digitales Cali S.A.C., tax registration RUC 20610227679, is associated with www.caliente.pe. Two separate registration numbers and resolutions are documented. However, while some published regulator reproductions show both entries as VIGENTE, others show Suspensión Temporal for the sports-betting registration. The official interactive record could not be independently resolved to a definitive live-card status during this review on 4 November 2026; neither description is adopted as conclusive.
Remote Sports Betting: Resolution of 21 June 2024
The sports-betting entry records registration number 21002589010000 and Resolución Directoral 3332-2024, dated 21 June 2024. Its product is identified as apuestas deportivas. The regulator entry describes a remote sports-betting technology platform. That description should not be broadened to encompass every casino or gaming product.
Status warning: published lists conflict over whether this specific registration is current or temporarily suspended. They do not supply a verified suspension decision, effective dates or reasons. An official MINCETUR entry or administrative act is required before stating either position as fact.
Remote Gaming: Resolution of 24 June 2024
The separate gaming entry records registration number 11002589010000 and Resolución Directoral 3394-2024, dated 24 June 2024. The category is juegos, with Playtech IMS Platform appearing in the regulator's platform description. This is evidence about the local Peruvian record, not a finding that every Caliente website worldwide uses precisely the same technology stack. The distinction between supplier and operator is explored in our Caliente business model page.
The two registrations have different numbers, products and decision dates despite their shared domain and legal holder. Some operator-facing material groups both under a 24 June date; that should not overwrite the regulator's separate 21 June sports-betting resolution. Likewise, fields used by a registry's software interface must not be mistaken for genuine expiry dates or for the name of a human director.
Authorisation Date Is Not Launch Date
Playtech's 2025 annual report says the international expansion included a Peru launch in the second half of 2025. Therefore the 2024 approvals should not be presented as evidence that the commercial website launched in June 2024. The three relevant dates answer three different questions: when permission was granted, when commercial expansion was reported and when the regulator's displayed status was checked.
Neither historical status labels nor the launch statement establish current product availability, market share or earnings. Our Caliente history and expansion profile places Peru in the corporate timeline.
United Kingdom: What Can Actually Be Confirmed?
The evidence reviewed for this page does not establish a current UK Gambling Commission B2C operator-and-domain chain for Caliente Interactive or its Mexican and Peruvian consumer brands. That is a statement about the limits of this research, not a definitive assertion that no related entity has ever held any UK permission.
UK licence searches are particularly prone to false matches. Many pages matching the words “Caliente” and “licence” are about driving licences or unrelated businesses. Such results say nothing about remote betting authorisations. A credible UK claim would need the correct legal licensee, the applicable remote gambling activity and the domain relationship in an authoritative current record.
Neither a UK audience searching for the brand nor an affiliate guide recommending it is evidence that the operator may lawfully target British customers. Until the relevant chain is established, this page makes no UK licensing endorsement, customer recommendation or gambling sign-up invitation.
United States and Brazil: Corporate Presence Is Not a Gambling Licence
United States. Caliente Interactive's US holding-company status addresses corporate identity; it is not a federal betting licence. Online gambling regulation depends on state-specific activity, authorities and authorised entities. Historical references to an Illinois application, if relevant to a particular entity, must not be presented as an active authorisation or proof that a Caliente-branded sportsbook is accepting wagers there.
Brazil. A CNPJ registration or company ownership entry (QSA) can help identify a legal entity and its officers or shareholders, but it is not an approval from the betting authority within the Ministério da Fazenda. A current Brazilian fixed-odds betting claim would require the correct authorised legal person, applicable domain and SPA/MF act. The reviewed records do not establish that chain for Caliente.
A subsidiary or prospective market-entry company cannot inherit another country's permission merely through a group relationship.
Similar Names and Websites: What Should Not Count as Proof?
Not every online page using the word Caliente represents the same corporate group or an authorised remote gambling service. Searches can return calientecasino.us, which describes a land-based Tijuana context, alongside addresses such as caliente-ca.com and caliente-casino.co. Their names alone do not establish ownership, official status or regulatory scope.
Affiliate listings can suggest leads but cannot overrule a regulator. Verify legal name, domain, product and observation date against an official record.
How to Interpret the Evidence
Current observation requires a dated official registry entry. Archived refers to an earlier snapshot, not present validity. Disputed status means available lists conflict and the primary current record has not resolved them. None substitutes for legal advice about a particular product.
Are Caliente and Caliplay Licensed Everywhere?
No evidence here supports a worldwide claim. Authorisations are jurisdiction- and product-specific, and Caliplay is not necessarily the named permit holder in every market.
Which Activities Were Authorised for Caliente.pe?
Two registrations exist: remote sports betting (RD 3332-2024) and remote gaming (RD 3394-2024). The gaming entry is consistently shown as VIGENTE in reviewed lists; the sports-betting status requires official confirmation.
Does Caliente Have a UK Gambling Licence?
A current UK B2C licensee-to-domain chain was not established from the reviewed evidence. This is not a universal negative finding about every related company or past application.
Our Assessment
Caliente's footprint must be assessed one entity and product at a time. Peru has two identified MINCETUR registrations, but the present sportsbook status remains unresolved; it should not be advertised as active until verified. Mexico has a historical government operator - holder chain with unresolved numbering questions. The UK, US and Brazil cannot be certified through company names alone. See our Caliente risks and opportunities analysis.
