IGT Products, Brands and Subsidiaries Explained

Written by Lucky BetMastermind, with help of ChatGPT.

IGT's subsidiaries are not the same thing as IGT's games and product brands. The distinction became more important on 1 July 2025, when Apollo-managed funds completed their acquisitions of the former International Game Technology PLC's Gaming & Digital operations and Everi Holdings. Those businesses now form the privately held IGT supplier group, reported through Voyager Parent LLC. The former public PLC, now Brightstar Lottery, continued separately with its lottery business.

A search for “IGT subsidiaries” can therefore return three incompatible lists: companies formerly owned by the public PLC, legal entities now inside the private group, and product names that were never incorporated businesses. This guide explains which is which, with the entity names and dates that matter to a UK reader.

Layer What it means Example
Corporate/reporting parent Entity through which group accounts or control are organised Voyager Parent LLC
Operating legal entity Registered company with its own legal identity IGT-UK Gaming Limited; Everi Payments Inc.
Business identity Name used for a division or supplier offering IGT PlayDigital; Everi
Product or service Technology sold or supplied to customers IGT ADVANTAGE; CashClub Wallet
Licensed intellectual property Entertainment rights used under licence Wheel of Fortune-themed games
Customer or distribution partner Separate operator using supplied content A casino operator carrying an IGT game

Which IGT group are we talking about?

The present IGT is a private provider of Gaming, Digital and FinTech technology. It is not an online casino with a common player wallet, and it is not simply the slot-making division of today's Brightstar Lottery. Apollo's July 2025 completion announcement identifies the acquired perimeter as the former IGT Gaming & Digital business plus Everi Holdings.

The transaction is a practical cut-off date for ownership research. A filing from 2024 naming International Game Technology PLC as a parent may have been correct when filed. It does not, without additional evidence, establish that the same PLC owns the gaming company in November 2026. Likewise, a description of a proposed merger in 2024 cannot replace the terms of the completed 2025 acquisitions.

Current private IGT perimeter Separate or historical perimeter
Former IGT Gaming & Digital operations transferred in the transaction Brightstar Lottery's retained lottery business
Everi businesses acquired for the combined supplier Former listed IGT PLC as an owner of pre-sale Gaming & Digital
Voyager-controlled private reporting group Old IGT or EVRI stock tickers as though they remain current group equity

The wider context is covered in our IGT corporate overview and IGT history and acquisitions. This page focuses on legal and product identity rather than retelling every transaction stage.

Gaming: machines, systems and content

IGT's land-based gaming business supplies technology used on casino floors. Operators may purchase or lease gaming cabinets, license games, deploy casino systems or purchase related support. A cabinet family, game title, jackpot network and legal entity are therefore four different types of asset.

Name or category Classification What it does not establish
Gaming cabinets Physical equipment/product family Ownership of the venue installing the cabinet
Casino games and themes Games or licensed content Ownership of every underlying entertainment franchise
IGT ADVANTAGE Casino management/system technology A separately incorporated subsidiary called ADVANTAGE
MegaJackpots Progressive-jackpot product/network identity A legal entity or an IGT-operated casino
Intelligen System/product name historically linked to machine-network management Automatic inclusion of every legacy lottery-system asset in private IGT

The Intelligen example particularly needs a perimeter check. A name appearing in historic IGT material may be attached to lottery or video-lottery infrastructure outside the business now owned by Voyager. An old portfolio page is insufficient proof of a current private-IGT product assignment. We therefore treat it as a named historical system requiring product-specific verification, not a blanket current ownership claim.

Likewise, a progressive jackpot can involve several parties: the developer, the technology or network provider, the licensed casino operator and the player. The jackpot's branding does not turn participating casinos into subsidiaries. Whether the supplier receives an equipment fee, licence payment or another contractual share is a separate question for the IGT business model page.

Digital: IGT PlayDigital and iSoftBet

IGT PlayDigital is the digital-content and technology identity associated with IGT's online casino supply business. Its role includes games and technology made available through operators and distribution arrangements. The brand name is not sufficient evidence that a company with the identical legal name exists as an independent top-level subsidiary.

The digital portfolio has also absorbed earlier acquisitions and specialist technology, including the iSoftBet heritage. Product names can remain commercially valuable after an acquisition even where the legal employing, licensing or contracting company changes. A brand appearing in an online casino catalogue is not a contemporary subsidiary register.

One dated example is the December 2025 announcement of IGT digital content with bet365, including a MegaJackpots game. It is evidence of a commercial content relationship, not ownership of bet365, a promise that the title is available in every UK account, or proof that each casino in the operator's group uses identical supplier contracts.

Three boundaries are worth preserving:

  1. Studio or brand: who created or markets content may not be the same legal party signing the operator agreement.
  2. Platform or distributor: technical integration can reach multiple operator websites without transferring ownership of those websites.
  3. Underlying IP: an entertainment licence may permit a themed slot without transferring ownership of the original film, television programme or other franchise.

For that reason, games associated with Wheel of Fortune should not be described as proof that IGT owns the underlying entertainment franchise. Game-specific rights and the legal owner of the franchise are different questions.

Everi and the FinTech portfolio

Everi brought both gaming products and financial technology into the combined IGT supplier. It is not the similarly spelled Evri parcel-delivery business. Search results and consumer reviews for that courier provide no basis for judging the present casino-technology group.

In FinTech, the useful distinction is between a service and the company providing it. Everi Payments Inc. is a legal name; CashClub and CashClub Wallet are commercial payment-service names. A casino may use related technologies for cash access, payment methods, patron-management or loyalty functions, but that does not make the wallet a separately incorporated IGT subsidiary.

FinTech name/function Appropriate classification Investor or researcher caution
Everi Payments Inc. Operating legal entity Verify jurisdiction, contracting role and relevant approvals
CashClub Payment/cash-access service family Not a registered casino operator by virtue of the product name
CashClub Wallet Digital wallet/service Player balances and transaction throughput are not automatically supplier revenue
Loyalty and compliance tools Service categories A client relationship does not equal group ownership

Suppose a casino uses a payment system to process a substantial sum of customer transactions. That throughput measures money moving through the service, not the accounting revenue earned by IGT. Depending on the contract, the supplier may earn transaction fees, service fees or another amount. The underlying customer funds do not become revenue simply because the technology processes them.

What IGT does not necessarily own

Several recurring claims require a direct correction:

Name or relationship Correct treatment
Brightstar Lottery Separate post-2025 public lottery business, not a current private-IGT subsidiary
Casino operators distributing IGT content Commercial customers or partners unless independent ownership evidence proves otherwise
Wheel of Fortune and other entertainment franchises Potentially licensed IP; the original franchise is not automatically owned by IGT
DoubleDown Historically associated business whose divestment must be respected; do not automatically include it as current
Historical PLC subsidiary lists Dated snapshots, not automatically a list of Voyager subsidiaries in 2026
Former IGT and Everi stock listings Historical securities, not live quoted equity in private IGT

The distinction is more than tidy terminology. If a source counts game brands as companies, or adds casino partners to the group, it exaggerates the group's corporate footprint. Conversely, excluding a real holding company because it has no consumer brand would hide an important part of the ownership chain.

How to verify an IGT brand or subsidiary

When assessing a particular name, I use five practical checks:

  1. Classify the name. Is it a registered legal person, a business line, a game, a system, a trade mark, an IP licence or a customer?
  2. Fix the date. Was the relationship recorded before or after the 1 July 2025 transaction, and is it still described as current?
  3. Identify the legal holder. Compare incorporation records, consolidated accounts, acquisition schedules and any relevant licence-holder entry. Never substitute a Nevada regulatory participant account for a company-registration number.
  4. Prove the relationship. Distinguish direct ownership, indirect control, commercial distribution, licensing and former ownership. A common brand or address alone is insufficient.
  5. Check the jurisdiction. UK supplier permissions, US approvals and Malta-related authorisations are holder-specific; they do not automatically apply across the whole group.

For regulatory context rather than a full licence list here, use IGT markets, operators and licences. For who ultimately controls the holding structure, consult IGT ownership and leadership.

Our conclusion: the defining feature of current IGT is not the sheer number of familiar slot names but the way former IGT Gaming & Digital and Everi capabilities are combined inside a private Voyager reporting perimeter. A reliable corporate map must name the legal companies, retain the transaction date, and separately identify product brands, licensed content and customers. That is what makes the difference between understanding a supplier and merely recognising its logo.
