IGT Share Price and Listing Status: What Changed in 2025?

Written by Lucky BetMastermind, with help of ChatGPT.

Today's IGT gaming and financial-technology group is privately held. There is no established publicly traded standalone IGT common share, and therefore no genuine live IGT share price to quote for that business. The former listed International Game Technology PLC became the separate lottery company Brightstar Lottery, while Everi Holdings shares ceased trading after the July 2025 acquisition. Apollo Global Management remains listed, but its stock is not IGT stock.

Search results can still display historic IGT quotes, dividends and analyst targets. Those records do not establish an investment in the current private group.

As at 8 November 2026, the first question is which security, if any, a search result identifies.

Which IGT share do you mean?

Search name Actual business or issuer Equity status as at 8 November 2026 What it does not represent
IGT / present International Game Technology Gaming, Digital and FinTech business consolidated by Voyager Parent, LLC Private; no established standalone listed common-share quote Not a currently quoted NYSE:IGT gaming-group share
International Game Technology PLC / historic NYSE:IGT Former listed parent, now Brightstar Lottery PLC Continuing listed lottery issuer under NYSE:BRSL Not the entire new IGT Gaming/Digital/FinTech group
Everi Holdings / NYSE:EVRI Gaming equipment and FinTech business acquired into the new group Former EVRI common shares ceased trading at the 1 July 2025 closing Not a live Everi or IGT share-price series
Apollo Global Management / NYSE:APO Public alternative asset manager associated with the acquiring funds NYSE:APO, quoted in US dollars Not a direct share in Voyager or a pure IGT tracking stock

The old International Game Technology share price belonged to the former listed business. The structure of the business changed substantially. Its historical quote cannot be compared directly with today's private-group financial results.

An old Everi Holdings share price may help explain what former shareholders received, but EVRI no longer trades. Equally, APOS is not Apollo's APO common stock. Always check the precise security class and ticker.

A private company can issue bonds and provide creditor reports without listing ordinary shares. Voyager's secured notes are debt, not IGT equity.

What happened to IGT and Everi shares in July 2025?

The pivotal event took place on 1 July 2025, when funds managed by Apollo affiliates completed the acquisition of the former IGT PLC's Gaming & Digital business and Everi Holdings. The businesses were combined under the IGT name in a privately held group. The public lottery business remained separate. This was a change in ownership and company boundaries, not simply a ticker rename for the whole old conglomerate.

Milestone or amount Historical meaning
26 July 2024 The proposed all-cash acquisitions were announced
1 July 2025 Acquisitions completed; combined private business began operating as IGT; Everi shares ceased exchange trading
Approximately US$6.3 billion Headline combined transaction valuation for the acquired businesses, not today's market capitalisation
US$4.05 billion Gross cash proceeds received by the former IGT PLC from the sale of Gaming & Digital
US$14.25 per Everi share Cash consideration for former Everi shareholders, not a current Everi or IGT quote
2 July 2025 The continuing lottery company's NYSE trading moved to the BRSL symbol

Three numbers in this transaction are often placed beside one another as though they measure the same thing. They do not. The combined deal headline relates to the acquired enterprises. The US$4.05 billion figure describes the seller's gross proceeds for its business. US$14.25 is a historical per-share cash payment to Everi holders. None supplies a present equity valuation, number of outstanding private IGT shares or potential share-price target.

The deal also altered the meaning of financial comparisons. Everi's earlier public filings concern Everi before integration; the old PLC's filings include a lottery business that is no longer inside the acquired gaming group. A reader cannot add selected figures from each predecessor and treat the result as a clean audited history of today's IGT.

The transaction chronology is documented in Apollo's completion announcement and Brightstar's sale announcement.

What happened to Brightstar Lottery?

The separate lottery issuer has its own quotation: View Brightstar Lottery (BRSL) share price and chart. This NYSE instrument represents Brightstar Lottery, not the private IGT gaming group.

The former International Game Technology PLC did not disappear into Apollo's private group. It continued as Brightstar Lottery PLC, concentrating on lottery technology, systems and services. Its shares began trading under NYSE:BRSL on 2 July 2025, following the sale of Gaming & Digital. A search for “international game technology plc stock” may therefore lead to a genuine public-company successor; but it is a different business perimeter from the gaming and FinTech supplier operating under the IGT brand today.

This is why an old IGT ticker page can be both historically authentic and misleading as a present-day answer. Before the transaction, public shareholders owned equity in a company containing the activities then reported by the PLC. After the sale, the continuing quoted entity was lottery-focused, while Apollo-managed funds acquired the gaming assets and Everi. A BRSL chart measures Brightstar shareholders' equity performance, not the private Voyager group's operating performance.

Brightstar's results, dividends and investment prospects need separate analysis. Historical PLC dividends do not establish a distribution policy for private Voyager equity.

Apollo Global Management (NYSE: APO): the separate public manager

Apollo Global Management is a publicly listed investment manager. Its common shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under APO, in US dollars. They do not represent direct ownership of private IGT.

The Apollo Global Management share price can provide useful information about how the market values the manager overseeing a broad investment platform. It does not quote the value of its IGT-related investment in isolation. Even if APO rises or falls on a given day, the movement may primarily reflect insurance, asset management fees, credit markets, interest rates, fundraising, or another portfolio event.

Why Apollo shares are not a direct IGT investment

The buyer was described as funds managed by affiliates of Apollo, an important phrase. The acquiring capital vehicles and the listed management company are not interchangeable legal owners. Voyager's 2025 accounts describe an economic participation by Apollo-related structures alongside De Agostini-related structures; they do not turn each public APO share into a fixed fraction of IGT's issued equity.

For someone considering the difference, three questions have distinct answers. Does Apollo's public manager have an economic relationship with the acquisition? Yes, through the managed-funds structure and associated interests. Does purchasing APO common stock put an investor directly on the private IGT shareholder register? No. Can IGT operating results alone justify an APO price target? No, because Apollo's listed valuation reflects a much wider set of businesses, assets, liabilities and market expectations.

The distinction also works in reverse. Stronger IGT cash flow may support its fund investors without moving the wider Apollo share price. Weaker APO performance does not, by itself, imply deterioration at IGT.

Access is different too. The ordinary retail investor can investigate a quoted APO share through normal securities channels, subject to the applicable broker and market rules. That is not equivalent to being offered a publicly traded IGT share. Nor should a speculative private valuation be inferred from the acquisition's 2025 headline price, because capital structure, performance, timing and ownership rights may all have changed.

Whenever a chart is presented as “IGT exposure”, check which legal security it represents.

How resilient is the private IGT business?

Without an IGT stock quote, the most useful assessment shifts to cash generation, debt service and the ability of the combined operation to retain customers. The group supplies gaming machines and casino systems, digital gaming content and platform services, and Everi-derived financial technology. That diversity may provide more than one route to revenue, but it does not eliminate shared exposure to casino investment cycles, regulated gambling markets or the cost of integration.

The whole-group financial reference used here is Voyager Parent, LLC's audited US GAAP accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025, made available through a UK corporate filing. They disclose approximately US$1.322 billion revenue, an operating loss of US$120 million, a net loss of US$331 million and US$37 million positive operating cash flow. The figures require care: the acquired operating businesses were consolidated only from 1 July 2025, making the reported year heavily shaped by acquisition accounting and an incomplete twelve-month contribution from the combined business.

At the same balance-sheet date, Voyager reported around US$468 million cash, US$4.319 billion gross nominal borrowings and US$4.129 billion debt carrying value after discounts and costs. The nominal borrowing total included US$1.85 billion of 9.25% secured notes due 2032 and a US$2.469 billion term loan. These are substantial fixed claims ahead of ordinary equity. A US$750 million revolving facility was undrawn at year-end, but available borrowing capacity is not cash already earned and is not proof of unrestricted future liquidity.

Subsequent debt transactions reported in the accounts included a US$100 million term-loan repayment in January 2026, a further US$100 million term-loan drawing in April and a US$100 million note repayment at the end of April. They do not permit a reliable calculation of cash, leverage or covenant headroom as at November 2026. Publicly accessible, complete consolidated quarterly results for the current private perimeter have not been established in the public disclosures reviewed.

The US$37 million positive operating cash flow matters because it separates cash generated from accounting losses, but it is a limited signal rather than proof of comfortably sustainable debt service. Equally, the large acquisition-related investing outflow and financing inflow in 2025 should not be mistaken for ordinary annual capital expenditure and recurring operating funding. What matters next is cash conversion after the businesses have operated together for a longer comparable period.

There is a credible commercial rationale for the combination: casino equipment, digital content and payments can be supplied to overlapping operator relationships. Yet cross-selling is not automatically profitable. Product investment, installation schedules, technology integration, customer contracts and the cost of maintaining regulatory approvals can absorb cash before promised efficiencies appear. Historic Everi segment figures are useful clues, but they are not current Voyager segment margins.

An “IGT earnings per share” calculation based on these accounts would be misleading: the present private group has no corresponding publicly quoted common-share denominator.

My outlook for the private IGT business

Assessment date: 8 November 2026. Horizon: the next 12 to 24 months. My base view is cautiously constructive about the industrial logic, but guarded about the balance-sheet execution. IGT has identifiable product franchises, operator relationships and complementary gaming, digital and payment capabilities. The acquisition also placed substantial borrowings alongside a complex integration. A private-company business outlook is therefore more defensible than a numerical IGT share-price forecast.

Business scenario Conditions required Implications and limitations
Bull case Integration produces measurable savings without disrupting product launches; recurring digital and FinTech activity expands; operating cash flow strengthens and debt is reduced Greater operating resilience and potentially improved financing flexibility; not a guaranteed equity return or APO price move
Base case Existing customer activity holds up, new products and cross-selling contribute unevenly, and debt service remains a major allocation of cash A viable but leveraged supplier where progress must be judged by audited cash conversion rather than deal rhetoric
Bear case Casino equipment demand weakens, technology or service integration slips, licensing and compliance costs rise, or refinancing becomes more expensive Less cash available for reinvestment and deleveraging, potentially reducing strategic freedom despite a recognisable product portfolio

The upside argument is not merely that IGT is “large”. A casino operator may prefer a supplier able to coordinate game content, machine deployment, systems and payment infrastructure, particularly where integration reduces operational friction. Digital distribution can also allow successful content to reach multiple regulated operator markets. However, the supplier must earn that position repeatedly. Customers are independent operators with budgets, rival vendors and technical requirements; having a broad catalogue does not guarantee renewal or higher prices.

The counterargument deserves equal weight. Leveraged acquisitions often begin with persuasive cost-synergy forecasts. Yet reductions in overlapping functions can disrupt technical support, new-game development or client delivery. A March 2026 industry report described a proposed workforce reduction of approximately 700 people; this is a reported plan, not a verified count of completed redundancies. I would treat it as a restructuring signal, not proof that a particular financial saving has materialised.

The 2025 accounts mix pre-acquisition holding-company activity, post-July operations and transaction charges. Preliminary carve-out non-GAAP ranges included assumptions about synergies; separately reported Everi figures covered another business perimeter. Adding or annualising them would give a misleading impression of precision.

Suppliers must maintain appropriate approvals for their products and territories. Changes in technical standards, payment controls and data-security rules may raise deployment and compliance costs. One verified UK licence cannot be presumed to cover every product and jurisdiction of the group.

My central judgement is that repeatable cash generation matters more than the headline size of the 2025 deal. Debt and integration will determine how much of IGT's commercial potential becomes financial resilience.

What would change my view?

I would become more positive on the business if a comparable post-integration reporting period showed a sustained rise in operating cash generation, clearer segment-level evidence of recurring revenue, lower net borrowing and stable delivery to major customers. I would also look for evidence that planned efficiency gains were achieved without harming new content, hardware deployment, FinTech operations or service quality.

I would become more cautious if operating cash flow deteriorated while interest obligations remained elevated; if refinancing terms or covenant disclosures signalled tighter financial flexibility; if important customer contracts were lost or delayed; or if regulatory, technology-security or litigation outcomes imposed material new costs. Where customer concentration or contractual renewals are not fully disclosed, absence of evidence should not be mistaken for diversification.

The next set of comparable audited financial results would carry more weight than isolated product announcements, alongside verified interim disclosures and refinancing terms. A flotation could change the analysis, but no IGT IPO timetable or public offering is established here.

My assessment

The IGT share price that search engines still display may belong to a historical issuer. The present IGT gaming, digital and FinTech company is privately held, with no verified standalone listed common share. Brightstar Lottery's BRSL is a different listed lottery business; Everi's EVRI shares were cashed out and delisted; Apollo's APO is the stock of a diversified public manager, not direct IGT equity.

For 2027 and 2028, the meaningful question is whether integration produces durable cash flow while the group manages debt and regulation. That is a business thesis, not a share-price target.
