Playtech Brands, Products and Subsidiaries

Written by Lucky BetMastermind, with help of ChatGPT.

The names associated with Playtech are not all the same kind of business. A Playtech brand might be a content studio, a game series, a software platform or a consumer-facing site; a subsidiary is a legal company within the group. Playtech also supplies independent operators and holds investments that do not give it full control. Not every Playtech-powered casino is group-owned, and not every product name identifies a registered company. The distinctions matter when checking who owns a game, operates a UK gambling website or earns income from a partnership.

What Counts as a Playtech Brand or Subsidiary?

To identify Playtech subsidiaries, start with the registered company name and distinguish it from studio labels, products and partners.

Name or Example What It Is What the Playtech Relationship Establishes and Does Not
Playtech Software Limited Group company A legal subsidiary in the consolidated group. Group interest alone does not identify every immediate shareholder in the corporate chain.
Quickspin Content studio label Part of the content portfolio. Quickspin AB is a Swedish group company; the label is not an operator licence.
PAM+ and iPoker Platform and network Technology supplied to operators, not separate casino brands or automatically subsidiaries.
Sun Bingo Consumer-facing gambling brand A UK group operation; its branding does not prove ownership of Sun intellectual property.
DraftKings External B2B customer Playtech supplies technology or content under a commercial relationship; it does not follow that Playtech owns the customer's casino or sportsbook.
Caliente Interactive / Hard Rock Digital Associate and minority investment, respectively Playtech has an economic interest, but the two investments have different accounting and control relationships. Neither means all associated gambling brands are wholly owned.
Snaitech Former group business Its sale completed in April 2025. A historical annual-report entry cannot be read as current ownership.

“Playtech brands” is not the same as a list of subsidiaries. A studio may be housed in a legal company, a game licensed to independent casinos and a website operated under another owner's brand. None alone proves ownership of the site or brand rights.

Playtech's Content Studios and Game Brands

Playtech's official casino catalogue lists eight content studio labels: Origins, Rarestone, Ash, Psiclone Games, Reel Web, Logic Labs, Eyecon and Quickspin. These are not eight verified legal subsidiaries. Some have a documented company behind them; the catalogue alone does not establish that for every name.

Studio Label What Can Be Established
Quickspin Playtech acquired the studio in 2016. Quickspin AB, incorporated in Sweden, appears in Playtech's FY2025 subsidiary note with 100% group interest and a video-slot intellectual-property role.
Eyecon Acquired in 2017. Eyecon Limited, incorporated in Alderney, is a 100% group-interest company developing online slots. Fluffy Favourites is an example of its game content.
Ash The portfolio uses the Ash studio label; Playtech's acquisition history identifies Ash Gaming in 2011. Do not treat the shortened label as proof of a particular present-day legal name.
Rarestone The official studio label corresponds to Rarestone Gaming Pty Ltd, an Australian group company recorded in the FY2025 subsidiary note as a development business with 100% group interest.
Origins, Psiclone Games, Reel Web and Logic Labs Four further labels shown in Playtech's official content catalogue. Their inclusion establishes a portfolio association, not a separately verified registration or direct shareholding for each label.

Quickspin, Quickspin AB and Quickspin Live are not interchangeable: the studio label, Swedish legal entity and live product offering refer to different things. Quickspin Live is not a newly established subsidiary. Whether a particular casino currently carries a Quickspin game needs a separate check.

Age of the Gods and Fluffy Favourites are game franchises, not companies that operate player accounts. Catalogues of Playtech games can identify titles but cannot verify ownership of the casino displaying them. The wider transaction history is covered in Playtech's acquisitions and history.

Platforms, Networks and Product Lines

Playtech's portfolio extends well beyond individual games. The product name usually tells you what technology does, not which legal company owns a casino that uses it.

Product or Line Type Role
PAM+ Player account management platform Back-end technology for managing accounts and supporting operator services.
Playtech Casino Content category Casino software and games provided to operators, including titles developed by content studios.
Playtech Live Live casino offering Live-dealer games and associated delivery services; not a list of Playtech-owned consumer casinos.
Playtech Sports Sportsbook technology Products and systems that gambling operators can use for sports betting.
Retail / Videobet Land-based technology Software and technology for retail gambling environments and terminals.
iPoker Poker network A shared network serving participating operator brands, rather than one Playtech consumer casino.
Bingo / Virtue Fusion Bingo technology and associated name Bingo and casino software; Virtue Fusion (Alderney) Limited is separately identified as a legal group company.
Playtech Protect Safer-gambling tools Technology intended to help operators detect and manage gambling-related risk.

Payment services form another part of Playtech's wider offering, but they should not be confused with Playtech Protect. Likewise, a studio, a network and an account-management platform can all be involved in one customer product without becoming the same legal entity. The commercial arrangements and software architecture are explored in Playtech's business model and technology.

Principal Playtech Group Companies

The most useful legal starting point is Note 35 of Playtech plc's FY2025 Annual Report. The following is a selected register of principal group companies reported as at 31 December 2025, not an exhaustive list of every business worldwide. A company's registered name and jurisdiction matter more than a familiar product label.

Legal Company Incorporation / Identifier Where Established FY2025 Group Interest Reported Role
Playtech Software Limited United Kingdom · 12807749 100% Principal trading company from 2021; holds intellectual property and licenses software to customers.
Quickspin AB Sweden · 556852-1602 100% Owns video-slot intellectual property.
Eyecon Limited Alderney 100% Develops and supplies online slot games.
Virtue Fusion (Alderney) Limited Alderney 100% Supplies online bingo and casino software.
Intelligent Gaming Systems Limited United Kingdom · 06979780 100% Casino management systems for land-based businesses.
E C M Systems Limited United Kingdom · 01646471 100% Bingo software intellectual property and hardware.
Euro Live Technologies SIA Latvia · 40103191691 100% Live services supplied to other group companies.
Rarestone Gaming Pty Ltd Australia 100% Development company.

What the 100% figure means: the annual report states the group's proportion of voting rights and ordinary share capital held. It does not necessarily say that Playtech plc is the direct shareholder of every named company. The holding structure may contain intermediate companies. For example, Companies House records identify Playtech plc as a person with significant control of Playtech Software Limited, while E C M Systems Limited has an intermediate holding-company relationship involving ECM Systems Holdings Limited. Those are different chains.

UK company Gaming Technology Solutions Limited (05425266) has a Playtech plc significant-control filing, which does not itself prove direct 100% ownership. The FY2025 report also contains historical Snaitech-related rows expressly marked sold in April 2025.

Which Casino Brands Does Playtech Operate?

Playtech's remaining B2C activities mean it is not exclusively B2B. Operating a website still differs from owning its name or games. The UK relationships below come from October to November 2026 regulator and operator checks.

UK-Facing Sites Identified Operating Company Important Brand Boundary
Sun Bingo, The Sun Vegas, Fabulous Bingo and Fabulous Vegas Red Rock Managed Services Limited, Gibraltar company 125099 The B2C arrangement uses News UK trade names and materials under commercial terms. Group operation does not establish that Playtech owns The Sun or the underlying trade marks.
Mr Green UK (mrgreen.co.uk) Blue Rock Managed Services Limited, Gibraltar company 124838 The identified group operator is distinct from the brand's intellectual-property holder; the site's materials name Mr Green IP Limited.

For each website, the evidence chain is domain → legal operator → licence → date checked. A listing for Playtech software, or a parent-company licence, cannot replace that check. Some older material also names VF2011 as an operator; its former UK permissions were surrendered in March 2026, so historical licence details must not be recycled as current status. Playtech's remaining German HAPPYBET activities were being wound down in 2026, not operating as a current UK sportsbook.

The country-by-country and domain-specific picture belongs in Playtech operators and licences.

Investments, Partners and Former Businesses

Not every important name in Playtech's reports belongs in a subsidiary register. The financial relationship can be meaningful without conferring control of the whole operator or its consumer brands.

  • Caliente Interactive: Playtech held 30.8% following the revised March 2025 arrangements. Caliente Interactive is the US-incorporated holding company linked to Caliplay and is treated as an equity-accounted associate. Playtech does not therefore own all Caliplay operations outright.
  • Hard Rock Digital: Playtech holds a minority equity investment and also has commercial technology dealings with the business. Neither relationship makes Hard Rock's gambling brands wholly owned Playtech properties.
  • NorthStar Gaming: the H1 2026 report discloses a 25.7% interest and separate lending and guarantee exposure. The shareholding and credit commitments are different kinds of financial relationship; neither is evidence of complete ownership.
  • Wplay: Playtech holds a call option to acquire a 50% equity holding in the Colombian business. As at 30 June 2026, the option was not exercisable and was reported as a derivative financial asset. Playtech reported significant influence over Wplay, but not control.

Snaitech is a different case altogether: the sale to Flutter Entertainment completed on 30 April 2025. Any account of Playtech's present brands or companies must classify Snaitech as a former business. Nor does the presence of Playtech content at an unrelated casino make that casino a subsidiary. The historical transaction belongs in the acquisition timeline, and the financial consequences of investments belong in Playtech financial results and Playtech's investment risks and prospects.

How to Verify a Playtech Ownership Claim

I would use four checks before calling any Playtech-associated name a subsidiary or Playtech-owned casino:

  1. Identify the name: is it a registered company, studio label, game title, network, website or investment?
  2. Check the corporate evidence: look for the legal name, registry number, dated annual-report entry and whether the stated interest is at group or direct-shareholder level.
  3. For a gambling site, identify the operator: match the exact domain to its legal operator and permissions; a Playtech logo or game is not enough.
  4. Check the date: a past acquisition, old licence or disposed asset may not describe the current relationship.

A game listing or Playtech logo cannot establish who owns a casino. That requires separate company and operator evidence.
