Sky Bet Cash Out lets you settle an eligible sports bet early for an amount offered at that moment. It can lock in a profit or a loss; it is neither a stake refund nor a bank withdrawal. The option is not guaranteed.
I recommend checking the latest amount, how much of the bet closes, and whether the transaction succeeds. Sky Bet's official Cash Out rules, checked on 12 October 2026, explain those distinctions and the limits on availability.
How To Cash Out A Bet On Sky Bet
Sky Bet's official instructions describe this route for an existing bet:
- Sign in and open My Bets. Sky Bet places My Bets on the left on desktop and in the app's bottom menu. Find the relevant open bet. See our My Bets guide.
- Look for Cash Out on the eligible bet. Check its current offer and any portion of the bet that would remain open. Not all open bets qualify.
- Select Cash Out, then confirm. Sky Bet's instructions show a second confirmation after the first button press. An offer on screen is not yet a completed settlement.
- Check the result. The Help Centre describes a processing indicator followed by Cash Out Successful when accepted. You can then find the Cashed Out record under Settled Bets. Accepted returns reach your account balance.
A failed request can produce a failure message and a revised offer. Sky Bet also says a request may be only partly successful when market prices change, with a new offer for the remaining position. This is different from choosing Partial Cash Out yourself. If there is no confirmation, check your bet status before trying again; do not treat a quoted sum as money already credited. Menu locations may change, so follow the current prompts on your device.
How Sky Bet Cash Out Values Change
Distinguish stake, potential returns, Cash Out offer and settled return. Potential returns on a winning ordinary bet include the original stake; they are not net profit.
For example, a £10 single at decimal odds 4.00 could return £40 if it wins. Taking a hypothetical £16 Cash Out instead means £16 returned and £6 net profit. A hypothetical £7 Cash Out on the same stake locks in a £3 net loss. Neither is a real quote.
Sky Bet says an offer depends on the original stake and odds alongside current market prices. One drifting selection can reduce an accumulator's offer. Prices can move during confirmation, and a request can fail or settle differently from an earlier display. Only the confirmed result should be treated as settlement, subject to the operator's published correction rules.
Which Bets Are Eligible For Cash Out?
Sky Bet documents Cash Out on selected singles, multiples and accumulators, including opportunities before play, in-play and between legs. Eligibility depends on the particular market and bet. One ineligible selection can block Cash Out for an entire accumulator.
The official Cash Out Eligible Markets guide explains the indicator shown against eligible bets. Its football market list includes Full Time Result and Both Teams To Score, but excludes each-way football outrights. The other-sports list includes horse-racing Win and Each Way and tennis Match Result. These are documented markets, not guaranteed offers.
A season-long outright or suspended market may be excluded. Consult the relevant rules for postponed matches, void bets and non-runners. See in-play betting and betting features for those formats.
Can You Cash Out A Free Bet On Sky Bet?
Sometimes, but only once the Cash Out value is greater than the Free Bet stake used. Sky Bet's official Cash Out FAQ states that a Free Bet's face value is not included in returns. If the offer is below that token value, Cash Out is unavailable; the option may become available if the value rises.
For example, with a £5 Free Bet, an underlying Cash Out value of £4 would not qualify under that rule. This illustrates the threshold, not an actual quote. Do not expect the £5 token stake to be returned as cash. See our Sky Bet offers guide for promotional exclusions. Cashing out can also remove a bet's contribution towards Sky Bet Club weekly qualification.
Full And Partial Cash Out
Partial Cash Out is expressly covered by Sky Bet's official Cash Out rules, although the option is not necessarily available on every bet. The difference is which portion is settled early.
| Choice | What Ends | What Remains |
|---|---|---|
| Full Cash Out, if offered | The eligible bet is settled early | Later sporting results do not normally change the accepted amount |
| Partial Cash Out, if offered | The specified part of the bet is settled | The unsold portion remains open and is affected by subsequent events |
| Leave It Running | No early settlement is requested | The bet continues under its original terms |
If Partial Cash Out appears, check both the amount being settled and the balance of the bet that remains live. Do not count the open portion as an already completed win. Sky Bet may correct Cash Out settlements made in error. Its official Cash Out rules also allow a horse-racing Cash Out to be cancelled if the selected horse subsequently becomes a non-runner. In that case, the bet is void and the original stake is refunded.
Cash Out Versus Withdrawing Your Money
Cash Out settles an eligible bet; withdrawal transfers funds from your account. Successful Cash Out returns go to your Sky Bet balance, not your bank. Any later withdrawal is a separate request, with its own checks and timescales. See our Sky Bet withdrawals guide.
What To Check Before Accepting Cash Out
My recommendation is to decide only after comparing the current offer against your stake and potential returns. Confirm whether you are closing the whole bet or part of it, and remember that cashing out may affect promotional eligibility. Once you submit the request, verify the success message and Settled Bets record rather than assuming the first tap completed it.
Do not place another bet to recover an uncertain result. Gambling carries financial risk; 18+ only.
