Banijay Gaming is the sports betting and gambling business within the wider, publicly listed Banijay Group. It brings together businesses associated with Betclic, Tipico and the Austrian Admiral operations. The name also identifies a French corporate holding company that was previously called Betclic Everest Group. It does not refer to Banijay's television-production business, nor is it the name of a separately quoted share.
A player may recognise a betting brand, a regulator may name its operator and an investor may see the Dutch parent on the Amsterdam exchange. They are connected but not interchangeable.

Banijay Gaming, Banijay Group and Betclic Everest Group, What’s the Difference?
Group presentations, French registers and local betting terms describe different levels of the same structure.
Banijay Group N.V., publicly listed parent
- Sports Betting & Gaming: Banijay Gaming business and French holding company → intermediate structures and operating companies behind Betclic, Tipico and Austrian Admiral
- Separate businesses: entertainment production and live experiences, not gambling operators
Capital at the Tipico closing: Banijay Group announced that it held 65% of Banijay Gaming's capital on 23 April 2026. Other shareholders included the Betclic and Tipico founders and CVC. The Group's proposed increase in its stake through call options was not a completed ownership transfer.
Banijay Group N.V. is the wider Dutch parent. It reports across more than one sector, including entertainment and live experiences. The group's consolidated turnover therefore cannot be treated as gaming turnover. Its listed shares provide exposure to the parent company as a whole, not to a freestanding Banijay Gaming stock.
Banijay Gaming describes the gambling-business perimeter and is also the current name of a specific French SAS. The term is useful at group level, but the legal route from that company to an individual operating business can involve intermediate entities. It would be misleading to draw a single direct ownership arrow from the French SAS to every gambling licence.
Betclic Everest Group is the French holding company's former name, not another present-day rival. Historical documents using that name remain relevant evidence. They must, however, be read against the date and scope of the later reorganisation. An older shareholder percentage or brand roster is not necessarily today's ownership map.
Betclic is a customer-facing brand; Betclic Enterprises Limited and BEM Operations Limited identify particular operators. Their presence in different documents is not necessarily a contradiction.
From Betclic Everest Group to Banijay Gaming
The older Betclic Everest Group identity belongs to a business that was primarily understood through Betclic and other historical investments. The decisive change for the current overview came in 2026, when the combination with Tipico materially altered its perimeter.
Banijay Group announced the completion of the Tipico transaction on 23 April 2026. That word matters: a completed acquisition is different from an agreement awaiting approval. The combination brought together Betclic, Tipico and Admiral in a larger European gaming structure. French legal records also document the transition from the Betclic Everest Group name to Banijay Gaming in April 2026.
A further French entity, Betclic Tipico Group, appears in the post-transaction structure. The pre-2026 corporate chart should not be assumed to remain intact.
Not every subsequent acquisition announcement should be treated as a completed transaction. Banijay Gaming announced an agreement to acquire French casino operator JOA in July 2026, subject to consultation and regulatory approvals. The reviewed records had not established completion by 3 November 2026, so JOA is not counted here as an unqualified existing subsidiary. By contrast, bet-at-home belongs in the historical discussion following the disposal of the former holding.

Main Brands and Businesses
Three names best orient a reader to the current consumer-facing business. They do not represent a complete register of legal subsidiaries, and their geographic and product permissions differ.
| Name | Place in the group | What not to assume |
|---|---|---|
| Betclic | Established sports betting and gaming brand associated with the former Betclic Everest Group business | One licence or company serves every Betclic country |
| Tipico | Major German-facing betting and gaming business included after the completed April 2026 combination | All Tipico products share the same licensed operator |
| Admiral (Austria) | Austrian retail and gaming operations acquired through the Tipico-related perimeter | Every unrelated business worldwide using the name Admiral belongs to this group |
French-facing Betclic terms identify Betclic Enterprises Limited; Portuguese-facing terms identify BEM Operations Limited. German regulator listings distinguish Tipico operators by product. Contracts and permissions therefore need country-and-product checks.
It is equally important to exclude names that have moved out of scope. The former bet-at-home holding was disposed of; historical association is not proof of present ownership. Announced JOA plans also need a completion test before being included in a current subsidiary count. See the evidence-led Banijay Gaming brands and subsidiaries guide for the fuller brand-to-company distinctions.
Where and How the Gaming Business Operates
The gaming division combines online sports betting and permitted online gaming with retail channels in parts of its footprint. The acquired Austrian Admiral operation is one reason a simple description of the business as a website-only bookmaker would be incomplete. The role of retail outlets, online platforms and product mix varies by business and jurisdiction.
In its April 2026 completion announcement, Banijay Group named Germany, France, Portugal, Austria, Poland and Côte d’Ivoire as six key markets of the combined platform. That is an aggregate statement about the group. It does not establish that an online casino, a retail betting shop and an online sportsbook are authorised under the same terms in all six places.
French Betclic documentation identifies a narrower set of permitted products, including sports betting, horse-racing betting and poker. Portuguese regulatory material identifies Betclic operations and locally permitted betting and casino activity. Germany uses its own operator-specific authorisation framework for Tipico-related products. Using the word “casino” without those distinctions would give a UK reader an inaccurate picture of what is actually offered abroad.
UK availability: this is UK-oriented corporate research, not evidence of a current UK gambling offer. The reviewed disclosures did not establish a present UK-licensed consumer brand within this perimeter. That means a UK launch or licence should not be claimed from this overview; it does not prove that every possible UK authorisation is absent.

Ownership, Leadership and the Listed Parent
The publicly listed company is Banijay Group N.V., not a standalone Banijay Gaming issuer. Following the completion of the Tipico transaction on 23 April 2026, Banijay Group stated that it owned 65% of Banijay Gaming's capital at closing. The Group also outlined plans to increase its holding through agreed call options, but those prospective changes should not be presented as completed ownership transfers. This is a dated transaction-level figure, not a claim that it owns 100% of every operating company or that each minority investor's economic interest is already publicly resolved.
Nor should the group be equated with its founder's personal shareholding: the upstream structure involves other corporate holding arrangements and public investors.
At management level, Antoine Jouteau became CEO of Banijay Gaming on 1 September 2026. The company's July announcement identified Nicolas Béraud as Non-Executive Chairman and Joachim Baca as Non-Executive Vice-Chairman. Those posts differ from the offices held by executives of the wider Banijay Group or the leaders of individual consumer brands.
Older profiles may retain obsolete executive titles. See Banijay Gaming ownership and leadership for dated roles and Banijay Group shares and chart for the listed issuer.
Financial Scale, Risks and the Bigger Picture
The most useful financial distinction is between reported gaming revenue, reported revenue of the entire listed group and hypothetical pro forma combinations. They answer different questions. A figure for the entire media-and-gaming parent does not describe gambling sales; a pro forma total is not proof that a company earned that amount under its actual 2025 ownership structure.
In Banijay Group's 2025 reporting, the gaming segment generated approximately €1.59 billion in revenue, against approximately €4.88 billion for the wider group. Those are historic reported figures. Tipico was not yet consolidated into the 2025 reported gaming result. At the April 2026 combination, the company also described approximately €3.1 billion in 2025 gaming revenue on a pro forma basis, an illustrative combined perimeter, not a second reported figure for that year.
For the first half of 2026, the research records €1.211 billion in reported gaming revenue, with Tipico included from the April completion date rather than for the whole half-year. As a result, growth comparisons need to distinguish reported and like-for-like pro forma bases. A rising headline figure alone cannot explain integration costs, financing obligations or underlying performance.
The enlarged footprint also brings considerations beyond scale: separate national rules, different customer-product permissions, the complexity of combining technology and retail operations, and debt associated with acquisitions. These are analytical considerations, not assertions that a particular regulatory breach or operational failure has occurred.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Banijay Gaming a Television Company?
No. It is the sports betting and gaming activity within a group that also owns entertainment-production and live-experience businesses. Banijay-branded television websites should not be used to identify gambling operators or licences.
Can I Buy Banijay Gaming Shares Directly?
The research identifies shares in the wider publicly listed Banijay Group N.V., not a separate exchange listing for the gaming business. Buying a parent share is not the same as buying a pure-play claim on its gambling subsidiary.
Does “Betclic Everest Group” Mean the Old Company Still Competes with Banijay Gaming?
No. It is a former corporate name, useful when reading historic filings. Current ownership, management and portfolios must be checked against the 2026 transaction and subsequent filings.
Does a Banijay-owned Betting Brand Automatically Operate Legally in Britain?
No. Group ownership and presence in another regulated country do not establish a UK licence. Any UK-facing service requires separate, current verification against the relevant operator and activity.
