DraftKings is more than a sportsbook. Its portfolio includes online casino brands, fantasy sports, a lottery courier service, sports media and an event-contracts business. But a brand on a screen is not necessarily a separately incorporated company - and a company in a regulatory filing is not automatically the operator of every DraftKings product. Here is how the pieces fit together.
Our starting point is DraftKings Inc., the publicly traded parent whose shares trade on Nasdaq under DKNG. The group controls various companies and consumer-facing services. Legal entities and permissions differ across states and provinces, so a portfolio list should not be read as a single licence covering every business or location.

Brand, Subsidiary or Licensed Operator: What Is the Difference?
A brand is the name customers recognise, such as DraftKings Sportsbook. A subsidiary is a legal company within the group: it may hold assets, provide technology, employ staff or operate a regulated product. A licensee is the legal person authorised for a particular activity by a particular regulator. These roles sometimes overlap but are not interchangeable.
Take Massachusetts as an example. The state's gaming commission identifies Crown MA Gaming, LLC, doing business as DraftKings as a sports-wagering licensee. The trading name links that entity to a customer-facing operation; it does not establish that Crown MA Gaming operates DraftKings Casino in every other state.
The SEC exhibit supplies group entities, jurisdictions and effective holdings, not every immediate-parent chain. Our table is a selected register, not a direct-ownership tree.
Sportsbook, Casino and Fantasy Sports
DraftKings Sportsbook
Sportsbook is the group's sports-betting identity, covering eligible mobile and other regulated channels. Its operational reach comes from jurisdiction-specific permissions, not from the DraftKings name alone. Where a regulator identifies a local Crown company as licensee, that company is the appropriate legal reference for that licence. The broader regulatory map belongs in our DraftKings markets, operators and licences guide.
DraftKings Casino
DraftKings Casino provides online casino entertainment in permitted markets. It is closely associated with the same corporate group and account ecosystem as Sportsbook, but casino permission is a distinct regulatory question. An authorised sportsbook in a state does not, by itself, prove that online casino games are legal or live there. Golden Nugget Online Gaming provides another casino-facing identity within the portfolio.
Daily Fantasy Sports and Pick6
Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) was central to DraftKings' origins. Its contest rules differ from sportsbook wagering. Pick6 belongs to the fantasy-related product family, not to a separately established listed subsidiary. Terms require a market-specific check.
For a British reader, there is a particularly important historical distinction: DraftKings stopped offering its fantasy sports service in Great Britain on 4 October 2024. A US product appearing in this portfolio is therefore not a recommendation or claim that UK customers can join it today.
Golden Nugget Online Gaming: Acquired Online Brand, Not the Land-Based Casinos
DraftKings completed its acquisition of Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG) on 5 May 2022. That transaction extended DraftKings' online casino portfolio and gave it a separate consumer identity with established recognition in US iGaming. It did not transfer ownership of the land-based Golden Nugget casino properties to DraftKings; those properties were outside the transaction. Similar names are not proof of common present ownership.
Corporate records distinguish two Golden Nugget entities rather than presenting a single company under inconsistent names. DraftKings' SEC subsidiary exhibit, dated 13 February 2026, lists both Golden Nugget Online Gaming, Inc. and Golden Nugget Online Gaming, LLC as separate, 100%-owned group subsidiaries. The same exhibit also identifies LHGN Holdco, LLC.
DraftKings' announcement of the completed acquisition on 5 May 2022 specifically named Golden Nugget Online Gaming, Inc. New Jersey regulatory records likewise identify Golden Nugget Online Gaming Inc. in connection with casino service industry enterprise licensing. These records establish that both the Inc. and LLC entities belong to the DraftKings group; they do not establish their precise immediate-parent relationship or divide every operating responsibility between them.
For a particular licence or business activity, check the exact entity, record date and legal function. The existence of both subsidiaries should not be turned into an invented ownership chain or presumed corporate succession.
Jackpocket: Lottery Courier Rather Than Lottery Operator
DraftKings announced the completion of its purchase of Jackpocket on 23 May 2024. Jackpocket provides a digital route for customers in supported jurisdictions to request tickets for eligible state lottery games through a courier model. It does not issue those lottery games: the underlying state lottery remains a separate public authority.
Jackpocket LLC appears in the SEC subsidiary exhibit. Local ticket-fulfilment rules still apply.
How these acquisitions changed the company over time is covered in our DraftKings history and acquisitions guide.
Predictions, the Network and Racing: Three Different Kinds of Expansion
DraftKings Predictions and Railbird
DraftKings Predictions is an event-contracts offering. DraftKings identifies its wholly owned subsidiary GUS III LLC, trading as DraftKings Predictions, as the company behind its federally regulated event-contract offering. This documents the relationship between a consumer-facing name and a specific group legal entity; it is not the same as placing a conventional sports bet through a state-licensed sportsbook.
Its exchange infrastructure includes DKeX, launched in June 2026 using technology and regulatory infrastructure obtained through the Railbird acquisition. Railbird Exchange, LLC and Railbird Technologies LLC appear as separate group entities in the SEC exhibit. An exchange, a consumer-facing trading business and a state-licensed sportsbook perform different functions.
Exchange authorisation and intermediary registration are distinct legal concepts. This page does not assign GUS III LLC a definitive current Futures Commission Merchant or Introducing Broker classification because that precise current category requires a separate regulator-register check. Nor does a federal market framework establish that every type of event contract is available everywhere. The business-model implications are explored in our DraftKings business model guide.
DraftKings Network
The DraftKings Network is a media and sports-content service. It can strengthen brand awareness and customer engagement, yet a media distribution brand is not automatically a licensed betting operator or separately incorporated subsidiary. We do not attribute independent corporate status to the Network without an appropriate registry record.
DraftKings Racing
DraftKings Racing is the company's horse-racing-facing offering, following the DK Horse branding. Horse-racing access depends on separate product rules and geographic eligibility. Its presence on a corporate portfolio page is not evidence that every DraftKings Sportsbook customer can use it or that one sportsbook licence covers it.
Which Legal Companies Sit Within the DraftKings Group?
The company's SEC Exhibit 21.1, filed on 13 February 2026, lists a substantial international corporate perimeter. The sample below is deliberately selective: it provides identifiable entities relevant to the subjects of this page, without pretending to be an exhaustive diagram of direct shareholdings or gaming permissions.
| Legal entity | Jurisdiction of incorporation | Illustrative group role | Effective group holding in exhibit | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DraftKings Holdings Inc. | Nevada, US | Group holding-company perimeter | 100% | Not the same legal entity as publicly listed DraftKings Inc. |
| DK Crown Holdings Inc. | Delaware, US | Group company; historical UK licensee | 100% | UK gambling licence surrendered in 2024 |
| Crown MA Gaming LLC | Nevada, US | Massachusetts sports-wagering operator | 100% | Incorporation state differs from licensing state |
| Crown NJ Gaming Inc. | Delaware, US | New Jersey regulatory entity | 100% | Check activity and licence status in state records |
| LHGN Holdco, LLC | Delaware, US | GNOG-related group company | 100% | Exact immediate-parent chain not established by exhibit |
| Golden Nugget Online Gaming, Inc. | Delaware, US | Acquired GNOG company named in 2022 announcement | 100% | Separate listed entity from GNOG LLC |
| Golden Nugget Online Gaming, LLC | Delaware, US | GNOG-related group legal entity | 100% | Precise operating division and parent chain not shown |
| Jackpocket LLC | Delaware, US | Lottery courier business | 100% | Not a government lottery issuer |
| Gus III LLC | Nevada, US | Predictions business (styled GUS III LLC by company) | 100% | Specific current intermediary status needs checking |
| Railbird Technologies LLC | Nevada, US | Predictions-related technology subsidiary | 100% | Distinct from exchange operator |
| Railbird Exchange, LLC | Nevada, US | Event-contract exchange infrastructure | 100% | Exchange role is not a blanket state sportsbook licence |
| DKUK Services LTD | United Kingdom | UK-incorporated group company | 100% | Corporate registration alone proves no active UK B2C product |
| Northside Crown Gaming LLC | Delaware, US | Group legal subsidiary | 99% | Remaining holder not established here |
| Crown MD Online Gaming LLC | Delaware, US | Group legal subsidiary | 95% | Remaining holder not established here |
The percentages are the group's effective holdings as reported in that dated exhibit. They are not a representation of who owns each company's shares directly. Likewise, a jurisdiction of incorporation does not identify the jurisdiction where a gaming licence applies. In particular, the 99% and 95% entries should not be rounded to 100%, and the minority holders should not be guessed.
The wider exhibit includes Crown, SBTech and technology entities that need not be separate consumer brands. UK incorporation does not itself establish a current UKGC licence.
What DraftKings Ownership Does Not Mean
- Not all Golden Nugget businesses: the 2022 online gaming transaction did not include the physical Golden Nugget casinos.
- Not Sky Bet or Sky Casino: the SEC subsidiary exhibit includes a UK company named Sky Star Eight Limited. That name does not establish ownership of, or a corporate relationship with, Sky Bet or Sky Casino. Similar wording is not evidence of common ownership.
- Not the state lotteries: Jackpocket is a courier-service business, not the authority that draws or issues lottery tickets.
- Not every similarly named product: matching words or trademarks do not prove a group-company relationship.
- Not one licence for all markets: a state sportsbook licence does not authorise online casino games, fantasy contests or prediction contracts everywhere.
- Not an active UK betting offer: a surviving UK subsidiary does not reverse DraftKings' 2024 departure from the British fantasy-sports market.
This discipline also keeps unrelated competitors, including FanDuel, outside the DraftKings ownership map. They may operate in the same industry without being sister brands. For the parent company's wider identity and listed status, see our DraftKings company overview.
How to Check Whether a DraftKings Name Is Really a Subsidiary
For ownership, use a dated SEC exhibit; for licence status, the relevant state regulator; for acquired products, the transaction closing release. UK incorporation and UKGC licensing answer different questions. Neither an old acquisition name nor a historical licence alone proves the present operating structure.
DraftKings Brands and Subsidiaries: Quick Answers
Does DraftKings Own Golden Nugget?
DraftKings acquired Golden Nugget's online gaming business in 2022, but not the physical Golden Nugget casino properties. “Golden Nugget” alone is too broad to identify the asset.
Is Jackpocket Part of DraftKings?
Yes. DraftKings completed the Jackpocket acquisition in May 2024. Jackpocket is a lottery courier service; it does not operate the underlying state lotteries.
Can British Customers Use All These Brands?
No such general availability is established. DraftKings discontinued its Great Britain fantasy sports offering in October 2024, and product access elsewhere depends on the relevant local rules.
The Bottom Line
DraftKings' corporate footprint combines consumer brands, acquired businesses, local licensees and supporting technology companies. Sportsbook, Casino, GNOG, Jackpocket and Predictions belong in the same group discussion, but their legal and regulatory roles are different. For an accurate ownership map, follow the exact company name, the dated filing and the market-specific permission - not just the logo.
